Drugo Riserva Chianti Classico D.o.c.g.

It comes from the best choice of Sangiovese, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, from a vineyard located on a hillside called “Querceto”. The south-west exposure and gentle ventilation allow for perfect ripening of the grapes which in October after careful hand-picking, hence the “Cru” character, are vinified in a 6,000-litre oak vat at a controlled temperature . In January, it is placed in 2,500 liter medium toasted oak barrels, where it ages for another two years; it remains 6 months in the bottle until it is placed on the market. The name Drugo derives from a use still prevalent in the Tuscan peasant jargon to indicate the strong and courageous, solitary man, therefore, synonymous with power like the strong and unforgettable personality of this wine.

Total acidity (expressed in tartaric acid): 5.70 g/l Alcohol content: 13.80% vol Color: very intense purple red, with tones tending towards garnet Taste: balanced in tannic components and acidity, suitable for long aging in the bottle
